JUBA, SOUTH SUDAN. Aheu Kidum Deng, Miss South Sudan 2009, is geared up to represent the Autonomous Government of South Sudan in the international Miss Earth 2009 beauty pageant. Aheu was earlier crowned as Miss South Sudan 2009 in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan. The event was attended by Agnes Lukudu, the Minister of Environment, Wildlife, and Tourism of South Sudan.
Aheu’s participation to the environmentally-conscious pageant was confirmed by the organizers of Beauties of Africa, Inc., the franchise holder of Miss Earth South Sudan. Aheu, 18 years old and a bubbly high school student, comes from South Sudan's city of Juba. She stands 195.58cm (6 feet and 5 inches). She deserves to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the tallest documented beauty queen ever to take part in any international beauty pageants.

She has been receiving numerous television show appearances, after bagging the Miss South Sudan 2009. In 2010, she will be in a world tour covering Asia, Europe, and South America as a spokesperson for South Sudan, following the Miss Earth 2009 pageant. South Sudan’s initial participation to Miss Earth was in 2008, when Nok Nora Duany represented South Sudan in the Miss Earth 2008. NAIROBI, KENYA. Catherine Wanjiru Muturi was crowned Miss Earth Kenya 2009. She will represent the Republic of Kenya in the upcoming Miss Earth 2009. Kenya is known for the great variety of its wildlife and its big game animals associated with the African savanna.
She's 24 years old and she stands 5 feet and 10 inches tall. She currently works in the United States as a model. She considers herself as an environmentalist in her own ways. She is no doubt an advocate of green fashion.
Catherine explains that "environmental issues in Kenya include soil erosion, desertification, deforestation, water shortage & degraded water quality, poaching, and domestic & industrial pollution."
When asked about the current status of the forestry in Kenya, she elaborates s that "the output from forestry in Kenya has declined because of resource degradation." The Overexploitation over the past three decades has reduced her country’s timber resources by one-half. "At present only 2% of the land remains forested, and an estimated 50 square kilometers of forest are lost each year. This loss of forest aggravates erosion, the silting of dams and flooding, and the loss of biodiversity" she adds.
She admires Kenyan environmentalist, Wangari Maathai, who won the 2004 Nobel Peace Prize for organizing a grassroots movement in which thousands of people were mobilized over the years to plant 30 million trees in Kenya and elsewhere and to protest forest clearance for luxury development.

Catherine has been in an intensive training for the pageant and she will attempt to duplicate the feat of her fellow Kenyan, Winfred Adah Omwakwe, who became the first black representative and first from the African region to hold the Miss Earth title in 2002 when she succeeded the original winner, Džejla Glavović of Bosnia & Herzegovina . Glavović was stripped of her title for failing to fulfill her environmental duties.
The Miss Earth 2009 coronation night will be held on November 22, 2009 in the Island of Boracay, which was proclaimed by the famous British publication, TV Quick as the world's number one tropical beach.

2009 Marks the return to Miss Earth for Kenya after a two year absence.

24 year old Model Kidan who stands 1.8 meters tall was crowned as Ethiopia's Miss Millennium Queen in 2007, and had previously represented Ethiopia at top Grand slam beauty pageants like Miss International 2008 and Miss Earth 2007 but has always personally favored modeling, “I Love to model how ever it is a pity that the modeling industry is not professional or well established back home, so aspiring models like my self cannot make a living out of want we like to do” she said in an interview.

"Man proposes but God disposes" was also her philosophical approach the contest; it was her first trip to Europe after having previously travelled to: Manila the Philippines, Beijing China, Tokyo Japan, Brazzaville Congo and Libreville Gabon as part of her duties as Miss Millennium Queen of Ethiopia

With this win she gets a modeling contract with a European modeling agency and full representation in Europe she will also have the opportunity to model the world over.
Plans are already under way to feature her in several Fashion weeks and other Global fashion shows next year in Greece, Italy and across Europe.

Miss Millennium Teen Intercontinental; Bewunetwa Abebe who was representing Ethiopia at the recently concluded International Beauty and Model festival 2009 in Kunming China, has won the title of Model of Africa.

19 year old Bewunetwa Abebe was participating in her first event international event having been crowned Miss Teen Millennium Intercontinental as part of the Ethiopian Millennium Festival of Beauty, and did not only her nation proud but her family as well. Bewunetwa Abebe comes from a long line of Beauty Queens in her family as her two older sisters have also successfully represented Ethiopia in several beauty contests over the years.
Current Washington DC based Model Ferehiyewot Abebe her older sister was the first Ethiopian girl ever to participate at Miss Universe in 2004, she went on to participate in Miss Teen Model of the World, Miss Earth and World Miss University, her oldest Sister Tizita Abebe also took part in Miss Model of the World and Miss Bikini Universe.

Dina Fekadu, Miss Universe Ethiopia® 2006 and The founder and President of Beauties of Africa Inc: Mr Andy Abulime have once again Stunned the world, by clinching a top 20 spot at this years Miss Universe® pageant and can now proudly boast the title of “top 20 @ Miss Universe”
At the shrine Auditorium in Hollywood Los Angeles on Sunday 23rd July, Dina who was representing Ethiopia for the 3rd successive year was finally honoured as one of the 20 most beautiful delegates at this year Miss Universe® pageant, and the only African delegate to be chose as a semi finalist.

This was Dina's fist trip to the United States and she comes back with the full and unequivocal endorsement of the Miss Universe organisation as one of the to 20 most beautiful girls in the Universe, this was in spite of the tough time she and her manager were given this year in their goal to promote Ethiopian beauty.

Miss Universe® is the most glamorous pageant in the Universe and is the crown jewel in the many pageant franchises owned by Beauties of Africa Inc.

Miss Universe 2006 was shown live to over 170 countries and almost 1.6 billion people. Dina’s win finally puts Ethiopia on the beauty pageant map after Ferehiyewot Abebe :Miss Universe Ethiopia 2004: and Atetegeb Tesfaye Miss Universe Ethiopia 2005’s participation and is an official endorsement of Ethiopian beauty. Dina will now spend an extra week in Los Angeles, and returns to Addis this weekend.

Blanda Ebondit the reigning Miss Republic of Congo made a stunning debut to her international pageant by clinching 3rd place at Miss Tourism Queen international 2006 held recently in China she was a firm favourite form the start and her elegance and charm won the judges over She was also nominated as 4th runner up in the Miss Bikini segment

Blanda was one of 4 African Queens sent by Beauties of Africa Inc to represent her country at this years Miss Tourism Queen international contest

Miss Kenya is 1RU at Miss Personality

Martha Oliech a pretty Nairobi based model representing as Kenya was announced the first runner up at Miss Personality a preliminary contest for Miss Tourism Queen International 2006 held in recently in China

Martha’s trip and participation was under the umbrella of Beauties of Africa Inc ,and marks the second successive year Kenya has been represented at the biggest Tourism Beauty pageant in the world.

4 delegates from Africa graced the 2006 Miss Tourism Queen International pageant in China under the direction and organisation of Beauties of Africa Inc
